If Your Roof Is Leaking Right Now
Ring, do not email. 027 535 1148. An email might sit for a few hours; a phone call gets somebody moving.
While you wait: get a bucket under it. If there is a bulge in the ceiling plaster, put a container underneath and pierce the middle of the bulge with a screwdriver. It sounds like the wrong thing to do and it is the right thing to do - a bulge is holding water, and it will eventually let go all at once and bring the ceiling down with it. Draining it deliberately causes far less damage than waiting.
What Helps Us Give You a Useful Answer
None of this is required, and every bit of it makes the first conversation better:
- The address, or at least the suburb. Not to sell you anything - how far you are from the coast genuinely changes what we would specify.
- Roughly how old the roof is, and whether you know what is on it.
- Single storey or two. It changes the access and the scaffold.
- What is actually happening. A leak, a rusty patch, a repair somebody else did that has failed, or just a roof that looks tired.
- Photographs, if you have them. Even phone photos from the ground help. Please do not climb onto your own roof to take them.
- Any timing you are working to - a build programme, a sale, or an insurance claim.

Are quotes free?
Yes, free and with no obligation, anywhere in Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty. Leak investigation can involve real time in a roof space, so if that is what you need we will tell you on the phone what it costs before we come out.
How quickly can you come out?
For a quote, usually within a few days. For an active leak, as fast as we can - ring rather than emailing so we can work out how urgent it is. After a big storm every roofer in Tauranga is ringing back at once, so we prioritise by how much damage is being done right now.
Can you give me a rough price over the phone?
We will happily talk you through what drives the cost, and we will not give you a number for a roof we have not been on. Anyone who does is guessing, and the guess is always lower than the eventual invoice.
Do you work weekends?
Our normal hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. On commercial jobs where the work has to happen outside trading hours we will programme it to suit, and that is worth raising when you first get in touch.
